2016 Cloak and Dagger Challenge

CDChallengebadge2016-204x300So after I got this delicious pile of crime novels for Christmas I decided to sign up for the 2016 Cloak and Dagger Challenge at Books, Movies, Reviews, Oh My.

There are four levels

1-10 books – Amateur sleuth

11-20 books – Detective

21-30 books – Inspector

31+ books – Special agent

I’ve decided to aim for Detective. I’ll be aiming to read this pile of Agatha Christies and Dorothy L Sayers, another Natsuo Kirino book and more international crime novels.

Fairytale Retelling Challenge 2016

‘Tis the season for book challenge sign ups and the first one I’ve put myself down for is the Fairytale Retelling Challenge run by Mel at The Daily Prophecy . As tempted as I was to sign myself up for the highest level (Cheshire Cat) I’ve put myself more realistically at the Evil Queen – 10 t0 15 books.

-Enchanted Moura: 1 – 4 books.
-Goose Girl: 5 – 9 books.
-Evil Queen: 10 – 15 books.
-Wise princess: 16 – 20 books.
-Kuma Lisa: 21 – 25 books.
-Cheshire cat: 26+ books

Here are some of the books I’m planning to read for the challenge. There’s a mix of fairytale and mythology inspired books more than traditional retellings.
